This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application Arrow to Pin (the "App"), available on the Apple App Store.

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access or use the App.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Location Data

The App requires access to your device's location services to provide its core functionality. We collect:

• Real-time location: Your current geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude) to calculate direction and distance to your saved destinations.
• Compass heading: Your device's orientation to display the directional arrow.

Important: All location data is processed locally on your device. We do not transmit, store, or have access to your location data on any external server. Your location information never leaves your device.

2.2 User-Generated Content

The App allows you to save custom locations ("Points"). This data includes:

• Geographic coordinates of saved locations
• Custom names you assign to locations
• Icons you select for each location
• Category assignments

This information is stored locally on your device and, if you enable iCloud sync, in your personal iCloud account.

2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

We want to be transparent about the data we do not collect:

• Personal identifiers (name, email address, phone number)
• Account credentials (we do not require account creation)
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Location history or movement patterns
• Usage analytics or behavioral data
• Browsing history or search queries
• Contact lists or calendar data
• Photos, videos, or media files
• Financial or payment information (tips are processed entirely by Apple)

3. How We Use Your Information

The limited information processed by the App is used solely for the following purposes:

• Core Functionality: To calculate and display the direction and distance from your current location to your saved destinations.
• Compass Features: To provide real-time compass orientation and alignment alerts.
• Data Persistence: To save your custom locations locally so they are available when you reopen the App.
• Cross-Device Sync: If enabled, to synchronize your saved locations across your Apple devices via iCloud.

4. Data Storage and Security

4.1 Local Storage

All user data is stored locally on your device using Apple's secure data storage mechanisms. This data is protected by your device's security features, including encryption and passcode/biometric protection.

4.2 iCloud Storage

If you enable iCloud sync in your device settings, your saved locations will be stored in your personal iCloud account. This synchronization is:

• Managed entirely by Apple's iCloud infrastructure
• Encrypted in transit and at rest
• Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy and security measures
• Accessible only through devices signed in to your Apple ID

We do not have access to your iCloud data. You can disable iCloud sync at any time in your device's Settings app.

4.3 Data Retention

Your data is retained on your device for as long as the App is installed. When you delete the App, all locally stored data is permanently removed. iCloud data can be managed through your iCloud settings.

5. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with the following Apple services:

• Apple Maps (MapKit): Used to display maps when adding or viewing locations. Map data is fetched from Apple's servers. Apple's Privacy Policy governs this data.
• Core Location: Apple's framework for accessing location and compass data. All processing occurs on-device.
• CloudKit (iCloud): Used for optional cross-device synchronization. Data is stored in your personal iCloud account.
• StoreKit: Used to process optional tips/donations. All payment processing is handled by Apple. We do not receive or store any payment information.

We do not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share your personal information with third parties. Since we do not collect personal data on our servers, there is no data to share.

The only scenarios where data might be accessed by third parties:

• Apple Services: As described above, Apple may process data through its services (Maps, iCloud) according to Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Legal Requirements: We may be required to disclose information if required by law, though we note that we do not possess any user data to disclose.

7. Your Rights and Choices

7.1 Access and Control

You have complete control over your data:

• View Data: All your saved locations are visible within the App.
• Edit Data: You can modify any saved location at any time.
• Delete Data: You can delete individual locations or all data through the App's settings.
• Export Data: Your data is stored in standard formats accessible through iCloud if sync is enabled.

7.2 Location Permissions

You can manage location access at any time through your device's Settings:

• Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Arrow to Pin
• Choose between "Never," "Ask Next Time," "While Using the App," or "Always"
• Toggle "Precise Location" on or off

Note: The App requires location access to function. Disabling location services will prevent the compass features from working.

7.3 iCloud Sync

To disable iCloud synchronization:

• Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Apps Using iCloud → Arrow to Pin → Toggle Off

7.4 Data Deletion

To completely remove all data:

• Delete all saved locations within the App, or
• Delete the App from your device (this removes all local data)
• If iCloud sync was enabled, manage iCloud data through Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Storage

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since we do not collect personal information from any users, this concern is mitigated. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us.

9. International Users

The App is available worldwide through the Apple App Store. Since all data processing occurs locally on your device, there is no international transfer of personal data to our servers. iCloud data transfers are governed by Apple's policies and your iCloud settings.

9.1 European Users (GDPR)

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), we note that:

• We process minimal data necessary for the App's functionality (data minimization principle)
• Processing is based on your consent (by using the App) and legitimate interests (providing the service)
